What We Believe

Our Restoration Movement roots look down upon creeds and test of fellowship. We do believe however that a clear understanding of what we stand for, preach and teach should be stated.

• We believe the Bible to be verbally inspired and completely inerrant upon all subject matters they touch upon. They are the complete, final and only revelation of God's will for the salvation of man and Christian faith and practice.
• We believe in the triune God. God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
• We believe in Jesus Christ who is fully God and fully man. He was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life and died upon the cross as a substitutionary atonement to redeem a lost mankind. He rose from the dead and is now at the right hand of the Majesty on High as our great High Priest and Advocate.
• We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, true God, the third member of the Trinity. He is sent to indwell, guide, teach, empower, convincing the world of sin, righteousness and judgment.
• We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and now is utterly unable to remedy his lost condition apart from Christ.
• We believe that mankind can be saved ONLY through the atonement provided by Jesus Christ. This salvation is for all who repent of sin and believe in Him and are born again of the Holy Spirit.
• We believe in water baptism and the Lord's Supper are to be observed by the church. We believe in believer's baptism by immersion.
• We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ, a personal, visible and pre-millennial return.
• We believe in the resurrection of the dead; to regenerate to everlasting life and the unregenerate to everlasting punishment.

Schedule & Events

Sunday Service

Our Sunday worship begins at 9:30 a.mm with a Sunday school hour for all ages to follow.

Mid-Day Manna

Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. we have our Mid-Day Manna Bible study. It is an informal Bible study and is open to anyone who would like to come.

S.W.A.T. Team

Wednesday evenings twice a month our youth group, "S.W.A.T. Team" meets (Students With A Testimony). We rotate meetings between Tracy and Lamberton.

Cycle Sunday

This is an annual event at the city park. We invite all lovers of motorcycles to bring their cycles for display at the city park. Our worship service with special music takes place at the park followed by a yummy meal for all.

Harvest Supper

This annual event invites the community to join us in a harvest celebration with a special catered meal at the church.

A Word of Welcome

Our History

The Lamberton Church of Christ was born out of a series of tent revivals in the late teens and early 1920's. Lamberton Church of Christ was formed around 1923 when our current church building was purchased.

Beginning in 1952 the Lamberton Church of Christ called Homer Dobson and his wife Better to serve as pastor and they served until 2010. Fifty-eight years of faithful service after which their son Tom Dobson served as pastor until 2016. Pastor Dave and Heather Birch arrived in May 2016.

Our Heritage

Lamberton Church of Christ shares a heritage with what is known as "The Restoration Movement". Several phrases describe this mid 1800's church planting movement; such as "No creed but Christ, no book but the Bible" and "In essentials unity, non-essentials liberty and in all things charity". Many different churches carry a similar heritage as the Restoration Movement which spread throughout the Midwest and Western states.

S.W.A.T. Team

S.W.A.T. Team is our jr. high/high school youth groups. We work with the Tracy Church of Christ in youth events. S.W.A.T. Team stands for Students With A Testimony. We meet twice monthly rotating between the Lamberton church and the Tracy church. Our activities vary month to month and a detailed schedule of youth events can be obtained by contacting the church. Our goal is to develop spiritual maturity among our youth.
